Tom Benda

I just can’t believe that Tom came into my life during Covid. We became such dear friends. His friendship and mentoring me through me short journey in Bonsai ceramics has touched me very dearly. It not what he did or said. It was more being there. Saying little and even less often. He once said to me” I knew you were different from the first messge nick “ I knew from the first time I saw a Tom Benda pot that I had to get to know Tom I’m touched and so humbled to have him in my life. But to Tom. The master of pottery. Geometry and the wild fires of a gas kiln. His true passion for Bonsai and pottery is immense, stop him. Talk. He has time for everyone who loves the art we have all become involved in. He is a true master of his art and one I believe will be very hard for any of us mere mortals ascend too. Far too many of the people we love and respect leave us without really knowing hiw much we love them for their gift. I nominate Tom as a Bonsai angel
